Spooky Days Out in Kildare and Tipperary
Halloween began here. Long before the pumpkins and the trick or treating, the people of Ireland marked Samhain, the night the old year ended and the veil between worlds grew thin. This year, Kildare and Tipperary are celebrating in style, with haunted mansions, witches' quests, ghostly barge trips, fireworks and folklore nights across both counties.
We have gathered the best of it in one place, so you can plan a few days of Halloween fun around the mid-term break. Pair a spooky afternoon with a visit to some of the most famous horse country in the world, and make it a trip to remember.
This guide brings together 26 Halloween events across County Kildare and County Tipperary, from Saturday 24th October to Sunday 1st November 2026, with dates, venues and booking links for each one. Last updated 22nd October 2026.
